Ever wanted to learn to knit? Here's your chance — and it's completely free!

Apple Yarns is teaming up with the Bellingham Farmers Market for a free Learn to Knit event. No experience needed, and no supplies required — we'll bring the needles and the yarn. You just bring yourself (and a friend, if you'd like).

Already know how to knit? Come along anyway — we'd love to have experienced knitters there to lend a hand, chat, and enjoy the community.

RSVP is strongly encouraged — it reserves a needle-and-yarn kit with your name on it so it's ready when you arrive. Without an RSVP, we'll still teach you — you may just need to wait a few minutes for supplies. To RSVP, proceed to checkout. You will not be charged.

FAQ

Do I need to bring my own yarn or needles?
Nope! We're providing everything you need to learn — just show up.

I've never knit before. Is that okay?
Absolutely — this event is designed for total beginners. We'll walk you through everything from how to hold your needles to your very first stitches.

Do I have to RSVP?
RSVPing isn't required, but it's strongly encouraged. It reserves a needle-and-yarn kit with your name on it. Without an RSVP, we'll still teach you — you may just need to wait a few minutes for supplies.

I already know how to knit. Can I still come?
Yes, please! Experienced knitters are always welcome to join, help out, or just enjoy the community with fellow yarn lovers.

Is there an age requirement?
Minimum age is 14.

What if I can't finish my project during the event?
Yarn and needles remain the property of Apple Yarns.
