Cortland is a wonderful lace weight blend of Suri alpaca and silk (74/26%) in 328 yards. Suri Alpaca is affectionately known as the “silky” breed of Alpaca. This incredibly soft and lightweight fiber features a gently substantial “floof” that’s a bit more pronounced than mohair, yet it offers your project a lovely fuzzy halo and soft color.
When used alone, this yarn creates a fabric that feels as light as air against your skin, combined with a silky softness and a lovely fuzzy glow. If you choose to hold it with another yarn, it adds a touch of color and soft texture to your work.
