Choose the right size for your project

Select the US needle size required by your pattern, then check your gauge with your chosen yarn. Each option in this listing has the same 16-inch circular length; the US size identifies the needle thickness.

A 16-inch circular can suit hats and other small-circumference projects when it matches the pattern requirements. For knitting in the round, check that your project's circumference accommodates the circular length. Hat crowns may require a different needle arrangement as you decrease.
