Why I Love Apple Yarns

When you are a small business owner you never know what the day will bring or how long it will be but today has been perfect.  We have a social knitting and crochet group at Apple Yarns, they come every Tuesday and Thursday morning faithfully 10am to noon.  Each one is greeted by name and today one customer has brought in a new knitter to introduce to Apple Yarns.  It is so much fun to share what makes our small business special; we talk about circular needles, wool vs. alpaca and the benefits of shopping small in our community.  But more importantly those around the table share their stories.

What makes this day special is that Claudia, part of the Apple Yarns team, brought in her daughters wedding veil.  Claudia has spent the last 3 month knitting it; there have been many late nights but she finished 1 week before the big day.  The veil is knit in Sweet Georgia's Cashsilk, a cashmere and silk blend that was dyed just for Sophia and Derek's big day.  I have been lucky enough to see the progress the last few months and what I know for sure is that every single stitch is knit with love and joy.

It is a privilege to own Apple Yarns and see the positives in life.  Andrea
