Gala (Apple Fiber Studio) is a beautiful fingering-weight blend of merino wool and bit of nylon. Sensational Sock Club members will recognize it as our flagship sock base, but the stunning colors allow this yarn to shine regardless of the project you have planned.
Thick and Thin DK (Apple Fiber Studio) is a soft roving yarn with undulating thick and thin sections from the thicker sections being spun looser than the thin ones. It results in a soft, gently textured fabric.
100% Superwash Merino, single ply yarn,

I found the most beautiful yarns at the Apple Yarns semi annual sale! I am going to Greece this summer and have been thinking a shawl would be a great thing to pack, both for the plane and in case there are any cool evenings. I happened to stop in at the store and browsed the sale bins and discovered a skein of yarn that immediately shouted Mediterranean waters. I look forward to this Sale twice yearly as Andrea always surprises us with the yarns she includes in the Sale. This one I picked up a discontinued yarn (Cascade Yarns Boliviana) for a bulky weight knit sweater for under $60 with my VIP discount included in addition to the incredible sale price of $16.84 per hank! I also picked up a hank of DK Thick & Thin in a gorgeous handdyed red by apple fiber studios, as well as a couple other skeins of Berroco Comfort worsted weight for Winter sock knitting. Actually I’ve taken advantage of this Sale three times since it began in December! I mean I seriously cannot deprive myself of it as it is just too good not to take advantage of.
