I really enjoyed some of the mini skeins but have had a host of problems with the subscription itself including missed months, wrong size of yarn sent, etc. Customer service has mostly been good but I currently can’t get a response on my request to cancel of a week or so ago. The website does not allow self- maintenance and does not seem to work well as an esales site.
Julie, thank you for your review and your insights; we as a team will address all of them. You should have been able to sign into your account to self cancel but I will follow up on that as well. As for the no response that is not our normal, my guess is it has to do with the Christmas Holiday and our severe weather this past week, the shop closed early the whole week. I love the the surprise element of the minis. These colors are sometimes ones that I wouldn’t choose. So the next step is finding yarn to pair with a color palette that is not your first choice. You can shop your stash or buy more complementary yarn. Then the step after that is finding patterns that use small amounts of yarn. You can fall down the rabbit hole of Ravelry or you can check on YouTube for knitters who have curated lists of patterns using small amounts of yarn. Of course that leads you back to Ravelry which completes the circle!

The variety of colors has been amazing. I have been gathering mini skeins for the Confectionery Scarf by Lisa K. Ross. I want all unique colors for the minis; then, I should be able to make two scarves - one to gift.
