Svenja by Astrid Tueting is based on a traditional Fair-Isle star but the star chart is divided into colors, making the pattern more vivid and we love it! The hat is an adult medium classic beanie. To make for a larger head we suggest adding 1/2" to the brim. We've selected Cascade 220 Fingering for this kit for the vivid colors and it's a little softer.
When blocking this hat we put a cap full of hair conditioner in warm water and that softens the hat more. This is a warm and lightweight hat.
Your kit includes; 5 skeins of coordinating yarns and a printed/electronic copy of the pattern. We're happy to wind your yarns for you; it's part of our customer service. You'll have plenty of yarn to make a variety of hats in coordinating colors.
